Opportunities for Progressive Artists
Insight Arts is dedicated to increasing access to cultural work that
supports progressive social change movement building. If your work
addresses issues related to economic justice, environmental justice,
social justice, or human rights we want to help you build a large
audience base. Please contact one of our staff members:
Film/Video and New Media
Screenings take place year round. For the opportunity to screen or
exhibit your work, please contact Maritza Bautista at
maritza@insightartsliberation.org.
Poetry and Performance Art
Insight Arts programs performance art and poetry readings year round. Please send proposals and samples of your work to info@insightartsliberation.org.
Theater
Throughout the year Insight Arts will produce staged readings of new plays related to issues of social justice. If you are a playwright please send your manuscript for consideration to Lani Montreal at
lani@insightartsliberation.org.
Visual Art
Insight Arts now exhibits community friendly work (that can be seen by all ages) year round at the Common Cup Community Room Gallery and will consider sponsoring special exhibitions (open to all content) in
appropriate spaces. Please send proposals and work samples to
Maritza Bautista at maritza@insightartsliberation.org.
Proposals should include a resume, artist statement or mission,
short bio or vita, and samples of your work.
Criminal Justice Programs
Insight Arts is committed to promoting cultural work and organizing that focuses on addressing the brutality of the United States criminal justice system. Activists and artists working on issues of criminal
justice reform, prison abolition, alternatives to incarceration programs for youth, police accountability and death penalty abolition are
encouraged to apply for exhibition, meeting space and public programs. Please contact Craig Harshaw at

Economic Justice
Insight Arts is committed to supporting activists and cultural workers who focus on issues of economic justice including fair trade policy, the rights of workers, and universal healthcare policy are encouraged to apply for exhibition, meeting space and public programs. Immigrant Rights and Racial Justice
Insight Arts is committed to promoting ongoing discussion aimed at ending racial discrimination and bias against immigrants. Cultural
workers and activists working on issues related to racial justice and
immigration policy are encouraged to apply for exhibition, meeting space and public programs. Please contact

Senior Programs
Insight Arts is committed to promoting cultural work and organizing that focuses on community members 65 years of age and older. We
welcome cultural work that challenges ageism and addresses the
intersecting issues of class, race and gender. Please contact
